Revision

As the examinations season approaches many students are now told to start revising for their exams but many don’t know what this means or how to go about it. The education and home tutors website plans to change all of that by providing tips and advice about everything to do with exams and revision, giving you a good head start in your revision. There is also help and advice for actually taking your exams in the Exam Tips section from experienced examiners to help you get the marks you deserve in your exams.

Start your revision with a Revision Timetable; use it to plan all of your subjects carefully and break them down into manageable chunks. This will help ensure that everything is covered and that you still get time to take breaks and rest. It’s important to remember that revising isn’t just about sitting their reading your books over and over again until you fall asleep! To revise a topic or subject you need to be engaged and interested to make sure that the information you read goes in and stays in. There are a range of Revision Techniques and many of those suggested in our Revision Techniques section are tried and tested by teachers and students around the world and prove to be useful for revising; just find the ones that work for you. Don't forget to check out the reviews of the many Revision Guides that are on the makret too. These Revision Guides cost only a few pounds but will help you with revision for many different subjects.

Revision isn’t something that you should do entirely on your own. Friends and siblings can certainly help and may have their own tips to help you. Parents can be a great source of information and support too, so take a look at the Revision for Parents section to see how they can help. Don’t forget that this is also a great time to get help and support from home tutors in your area. Home tutors are experts in both their subject and teaching, and will be able to provide a great deal of help and support. Home tutors often provide many of their own resources that will give that little extra help.
